We have made a few changes in how are league will be operating this season. Some of them are to streamline operations a bit and others are to address some concerns voiced over the past few years.
- New Registration Method - We have separated the team registration and player registration process. This is similar to the AAU process where players register directly with the sanctioning body and team registers with the league.
- Player Cards - We will be using Spokane Futsal player cards this year for all leagues. Players must be registered with US Futsal prior to playing any game.
- Competitive League Rostering -
- League Rosters will be enforced using the following rules.
- Players may be rostered to only one competitive team within a age/division. Players wishing to play for more than one team should wait until final age/divisions are drawn before they commit to playing for a second team.
- Players may play up in age but not play down.
- Teams may play only rostered players or players from their sister team given the following guidelines.
- Playing team must have less than 8 rostered players available to play
- Playing team may add up to two (2) players from their sister team up to a limit of 8 players on their game roster. (ie: playing team has 7 player may add one (1) player from sister team ... playing team has 6 or less players may add up to two (2) players from the sister team)
- Sister team player(s) shall be listed on their game roster
- Playing an unrostered player will result in a forfeit for the league game. The game will be recorded in the standings as a 1-0 game.
- Recreational Leagues Rostering - Our U8 & U9 and Adult Recreational League
- Rosters may change game to game using the following rules:
- Players must be registered with US Futsal and have a Spokane Futsal player card
- Players may play up in age but not down.
- Players rostered to a competitive team may also play with a recreational team.
- Adult Recreational - Open to Adults or High School aged players U15+.
- Bench Area -
- Competitive teams - Only players rostered to play in the game and the team coach/manager are permitted on the team side of the field. Players from sister teams or friends are to sit on the spectator side of the field.
- Recreational teams - Only players who have checked in with the referee and presented a player card are permitted on the team side of the field.
